SpeedConnect High-Speed Broadband
Marion Upgrade Boosts Capacity 300%

Eastern Iowa Investment Continues

North Liberty, IA – SpeedConnect, a premium wireless broadband provider whose technology supports higher usage demands, today deployed equipment and tower upgrades designed to boost capacity in Marion and the surrounding area by 300%.

General Manager Tony Lounsberry commented on the SpeedConnect upgrade in Marion by saying, “Due to both customer growth and an increase in Internet data usage, we replaced a single omni antenna with three higher powered sector antennas. In addition to greater coverage penetration, this equipment creates 300% additional capacity for our customers.”

SpeedConnect has been expanding their customer base as well as upgrading equipment for speed and capacity in Iowa for the last year. Lounsberry said SpeedConnect focuses on the “uninterrupted streaming experience” that customers are increasingly demanding from Internet providers. He called the Marion upgrade a highly significant development for SpeedConnect and the continuing rollout of ultra-fast broadband in Iowa.
